Camel Cam – I Love You Game w/ Campbell Cheer

In our latest installment of Camel Cam, our student-run production interviews Campbell Cheerleading after winning the CANAM Nationals in Myrtle Beach, S.C. last week.

The squad also stuck around after the interview for an entertaining installment of “I Love You” game where athletes try to evoke laughter from saying those three words, which creates plenty of competitive fire between the competitors.

Along with those segments, Camel Cam interviews the entire freshmen class for Campbell Softball gathering their thoughts on the season to this point – including adjusting to the college lifestyle as Big South conference play begins.

Make sure to follow our episodes on the Camel Cam YouTube stream and stay active on social media @GoCamels for updates.

Softball Surging

The Fighting Camels have now on 10 of their last 14 games after finishing off a three-game sweep over Bryant on Sunday, winning 2-1 inside Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.

In fact, Campbell has now won five in the last six games as Courtney Roberts and Katie Baker led the pitching staff on Sunday while Amber Schisler built on Big South Player of the Week honors with a team-leading 9 HR and 29 RBI this season.

Following an emotional win, Campbell Softball improved to 10-9 this season and will host Northern Illinois Tuesday night for a televised doubleheader on the Big South Network.

Hit The Ground Running

Campbell Softball hit the diamond for their first outdoor practice of the regular season on Martin Luther King Jr. Day as the Fighting Camels prepare to open the year Friday, Feb. 12 at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium for the Hampton Inn Invitational.

After waiting through a bit of frigid weather to eventually melt away, following a night that reached as low as 19-degrees, players and coaches got busy working on the basic fundamentals.

The regular season now rests 25 days away as Campbell prepares for its second year under head coach Todd Bradley, this following a 28-27 campaign in 2015. Our friends @GoCamelsSB will provide the best photos and quotes leading up to first pitch.

Softball Scrimmage

Campbell women’s softball is preparing for their first showcase of the year as the Fighting Camels host Pitt Community College for a doubleheader exhibition at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.

Action kicks off this Saturday morning at 11 a.m. as head coach Todd Bradley and company unveil a sneak peak at what’s to come on the diamond for the upcoming season.

The Fighting Camels enter the 2016 campaign with heightened expectations as new assistant coach Addison Stanley joined the program back in August after previously serving as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of North Texas.

As the hosts of the 2015 Big South Conference Tournament, the Fighting Camels finished 28-27 overall, featuring wins in seven of their last nine games. But before Saturday’s action, coach Bradley posted a quote of inspiration for the Softball squad.
