Stocking’s Career Night

Campbell Volleyball finished 1-2 overall at the Hampton Inn of Holly Springs Invitational but sophomore OH Jessica Stocking posted her best weekend for the Fighting Camels, leading Campbell with 17 kills in Saturday’s match vs. East Carolina University.

The Fighting Camels also benefited from Stocking’s defense, registering 14 digs in the 5-set match which Campbell lost 16-14 in the decisive stanza after winning the first and third sets against 8-0 ECU from the American Athletic Conference.

Campbell fell to 4-6 on the season, closing out the tournament in competitive fashion after a 4-set loss to Navy and 3-set win over South Carolina State. The Laguna Hills, California native posted 31 kills over the weekend, hitting .250% in attack.

Head coach Greg Goral’s bunch will have a  busy week ahead facing UNC Wilmington on the road Tuesday night before back-to-back games in the Triangle over the weekend against Duke (Friday night) and NC State on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
