Fresh off a series win over Liberty University, Campbell Baseball has now won two of its last three series in Big South Conference play.
The Fighting Camels featured three strong pitching performances as Nick Thayer went 8.0 innings on Friday for the win, while Grant Yost pitched his second-straight complete game on Saturday, while Michael Horrell went 9.0 innings as well on Sunday.
Campbell came from behind to kickstart the series Friday night as the Fighting Camels scored runs in the 7th and 8th innings for the eventual 2-1 win as Erik Dowse collected his third save of the season. Saturday was filled with exciting and intense moments as freshman Zach Minnick provided some punch with a walk-off double.
After finishing out a 7-game home stand, Campbell hits the road for the next six games featuring a three-game set at Longwood University, who is equal at 7-5 in the Big South standings at the half-way point of the conference slate.
