Butler’s Big Night

Campbell junior Drew Butler made the most his homecoming appearance, leading the Fighting Camels with three hits in a 9-4 win over Appalachian State Tuesday night at Holly Springs Ballpark, the home of the Holly Springs Salamanders.

Butler, the Rockingham, N.C. native spent the past summer with the Salamanders as an All-Star selection in the Coastal Plain League hitting .301 over the summer.

His return netted huge results, kickstarting the Campbell offense for runs in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th innings during a come-from-behind effort at Holly Springs Stadium. Check out what Butler had to say following the big win on Tuesday night. #RollHumps

The Fighting Camels quickly return to action tonight at Jim Perry Stadium as Campbell hosts an NCAA regional squad from last year and nearby rival UNC Wilmington with first pitch set for 6 p.m.
