Baseball Back In Business

The Campbell Baseball season has finally arrived in Buies Creek, and the weather is cooperating beautifully with a forecast calling for sunny skies and 53-degrees around first pitch.

The Fighting Camels welcome Miami (Ohio) University into town for a three-game set starting here on Friday at 3 p.m. Fans can follow the action live on the Campbell Digital Network with in-game updates on Twitter @GoCamelsBSB throughout the series.

Campbell enters the 2016 season following their fifth-most successful campaign in program history (32-25 overall) notching their fourth 30+ win season in as many years.

Picked to finish 6th in the latest Big South Conference preseason poll, the Fighting Camels start the regular season with 18 of their first 21 games at Jim Perry Stadium.

The season gets started at 3 p.m. as senior RHP Nick Thayer will toe the rubber for Campbell against a Miami squad that finished last season 13-39 overall – with CU winning their only meeting, 7-2.
