Campbell Women’s Golf prepares for the start of the spring season as (once again) the perennial favorite in the Big South conference.
Led by head coach John Crooks, the Fighting Camels have won seven conference titles (Big South and A-Sun) since 2001, including a trip to the NCAA Finals in consecutive years.
Campbell enters the season with high expectations led by tournament wins this fall at the Golfweek Program Challenge (Sept. 6-8) and the Fighting Camel Classic (Oct. 18-20), leading up to the start of the 2016 season Sunday, Feb. 7 at the UCF Challenge.
For more on the golf program, here’s a snippet from the online preview from Golfweek Magazine on the favorites in the Big South.
“Entering the spring, Campbell boasts three players in the top 100 of the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, including junior Nadine White (64) and senior Tahnia Ravnjak (176). The Camels won twice in the fall and never finished outside the top 5, making them the clear favorite in the Big South at this point.”
