Campbell men’s basketball scored the second-most points in Gore Arena history, running past the Bulldogs of The Citadel, 101-82, Saturday afternoon in a crucial non-confence matchup.
Led by a career-high 31 points from freshman Chris Clemons, the Fighting Camels (7-3, 1-0) scored a season-best 54 points in the second half, running away from the best scoring program in the country.

In fact all five starters scored in double figures for Campbell on Saturday, shooting 58% as a team from the field (31-53), while converting on a season-high 72% (29-40) from the free throw line.
Campbell has now won six of its last seven games, entering a tough stretch featuring a surging 7-3 College of Charleston on Tuesday before traveling to UNC Wilmington, who is 4-0 at home.
