Candid Camel: Troy Harper

As the Fighting Camels prepare for their first of a three-game home stand on Wednesday night, GoCamels.com went one-on-one with on of the rising starts on the Campbell men’s basketball team.

Troy Harper, the sophomore from Philadelphia, Pa., ranks second on the squad averaging 10.8 PPG, including a 21-point effort against UNC Asheville last Sunday.

While Harper did not start a single game last season, he started each of the first two games this season – averaging more than 20 minutes per game as a key role player for the Fighting Camels.

His experience on the floor has garnered attention, building his resume very early on as a strong scoring threat and outside shooting presence. Harper scored in double figures four times this season, shooting a team-best 70-percent from the free throw line.
