Campbell men’s basketball officially welcomed two recruits into the Class of 2016, as announced by head coach Kevin McGeehan.
Raleigh, N.C. native Austin Burnette, who is currently attending Hargrave Military Academy for a post-graduate year, and Damontez Oliver will be joining the Fighting Camels next season.
Burnette, a 6-foot-7 forward, who averages 15.6 points and 7.5 rebounds during his post-graduate year at Hargrave, formerly a two-time Cap-8 all-conference and all-academic selection.
According to head coach Kevin McGeehan, Burnette owns a strong skill set that “is the perfect fit for the way we try to play,” especially given his athletic frame and 6-foot-11 wingspan.

Oliver enters his senior year at Deep Run High School (Richmond, Va.) averaging 13 points and eight rebounds. The 6-foot-5 forward has improved over his prep career being named the Vantage Hoops 17U Grassroots Awards Most Improved Player in Virginia.
McGeehan spoke very fondly of Oliver’s all-around game saying, “he’s a good passer and has the ability to make players around him better, which is a good quality to have in a forward.”
