Battling The Toreros

The Campbell Fighting Camels played right down to the wire against the University of San Diego, nearly snapping the Toreros 22-game home win streak, dropping a tough 31-27 contest on Saturday.

Led by a 115-yard effort on the outside by redshirt freshman Aaron Blockmon, the Fighting Camels exploded in the vertical passing game. Campbell was clicking on offense, grinding out drives by converting 9-of-15 attempts on 3rd down as redshirt senior Kameron Bryant threw for a season-high 306 yards.

On defense, Campbell forced two first half turnovers, led by a diving interception from Jack Ryan. In fact the redshirt freshman led all players with 12 tackles, holding the Toreros to 332 yards on offense.

Here are the highlights from a wild back-and-forth affair at Torero Stadium, the final road game of the regular season for Campbell.
