As the Fighting Camels men’s basketball team prepares for the season opener on Nov. 13, one of the newest players on campus has been impressing the coaching staff with his vertical in the gym.
Freshman Chris Clemons (Raleigh, N.C.) could be in line to see major playing time as a freshman, averaging 14 points, four assists and three steals per game in high school eventually being named Cap-8 Conference player of the year last season.
“Chris is a high-level scorer and athlete,” said McGeehan. “He’s athletic, not just in jumping but also in power and speed. He has a chance to be a very good player.
His latest move came during a mid-week practice inside the Fred McCall gym, soaring in the air for an incredible put-back dunk.
