Playoffs In The Creek

The Campbell Women’s Soccer team clinched the No. 3 overall seed in the Big South Tournament by defeating High Point, 1-0, on Tuesday night, assuring themselves a home playoff match.

For the second consecutive season, the Fighting Camels (12-6, 7-3) will host a first round quarterfinal matchup at Eakes Athletic Complex hoping to build upon last season’s dramatic 2-OT victory over Gardner Webb on a game-winning goal from Alexis Prada.

Led by a first half strike from Payton Ormsby, the Fighting Camels will now host No. 6 seed UNC Asheville on Sunday night at Eakes Athletic Complex where Campbell finished 7-2 overall, featuring a 5-1 win over the Bulldogs back on Sunday, Sept. 27.
