Coaches from the men’s and women’s basketball teams across the conference were in Charlotte, N.C. on Monday for the annual Big South Media Day hosted at the Fairfield Inn.
The Fighting Camels were well represented as Kevin McGeehan and Wanda Watkins both answered questions about Campbell basketball heading into the special season-opening doubleheader on Friday, Nov. 13 inside Gore Arena.
Entering the 35th season under head coach Wanda Watkins, the Fighting Camels were predicted to finish 5th in the Big South, while the men’s basketball squad was picked to finish 10th overall.
But keep in mind that seven teams were tied for first place in the Big South in late February, so any team can make a run for the title and preseason rankings all change once the season begins.
