The Fighting Camels received a major boost on offense from junior TE Austin Fleming, who led the team in both rushing yards and number of receptions in last weekend’s 16-6 win over Stetson.
Fleming, a former high school QB who started 46 games setting the West Stokes High School single-season record for rushing touchdowns (32), rushing yards (1,930), passing touchdowns (17), passing yards (1,907), scoring (206) and punt average (37.7) during his senior year in 2011, returned under center in the wildcat offense.
The King, N.C. native provided some much-needed life working in his former position, rushing for a team-high 74 yards on just four carries while catching four passes for 45 yards.
His biggest effort came on a 33-yard run late in the fourth quarter, clinching Campbell’s first road win of the season. Learn more about the added dimension that Austin Fleming has provided on offense.
