Butler’s Baseball Journal: Oct. 20th

The Campbell Baseball program continues through the final weeks of Fall practice here at Jim Perry Stadium building towards the start of the 2015-16 season in Buies Creek.

Junior Drew Butler continues his contribution to national college baseball website CollegeBaseballDaily.com with another blog entry about early morning workouts and the grind of practice.

Here’s a brief snippet from Butler’s recent blog entry.

First and foremost, I am convinced that there isn’t a better strength coach in the country than our very own Andrew Carter. Coach Carter is known for bringing tons of energy and enforcing his rule of no yawning in the weight room – which leads to push-ups if you were wondering. He is great at working with multiple teams here at school and managing the different workouts that suit our different sports. Even on our bright and early 5:45 am workout days he is wide awake and ready to push us to get better in any way possible."

The Fighting Camels return to the diamond on Wednesday, Oct. 23 for a team scrimmage leading up to next weekend’s Trick or Treat at the Perry; a yearly Halloween-themed scrimmage.
