Former Campbell Men’s Basketball star Eric Griffin posed for team photos during the Detroit Pistons Media Day on Monday, striving to make an official NBA roster this upcoming season.
Griffin spent two seasons at Campbell from 2010-12, being honored as a finalist for 2012 Dunk of the Year while averaging 15.7 points per game during his senior year. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 19 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks starting 49 games for the Texas Legends, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks.
Back in September, Griffin signed a non-guaranteed contract to participate in training camp. That opportunity begins right now as Griffin will be one of 19 players fighting to make the final NBA roster.
