Campbell alum Brad Fritsch, a native of Manotick, Ontario and resident of nearby Holly Springs, N.C., finished in second place (-16, 268), four shots off the leader in the News Sentinel Open in Knoxville, TN. Part of the Web.com Tour, the Fighting Camel shot an impressive 64 on Saturday, scoring under par in all four rounds.
Fritsch graduated from Campbell University back in 2000 with a degree in Criminal Justice Administration. The two-time Academic All-American at Campbell (1999, 2000), earning his PGA Tour Card during the 2013 year. After gathering his third career second-place finish on the Web.com Tour, moving up to 35th overall on the Money Ranks, Fritsch put his performance into perspective.
